To Holy Sophia (To Bring peace and calm)

In this rite you will call out to Sophia, the wise and compassionate Gnostic Mother Goddess.

Full of miracles, she is one who heals the sorrowing heart.

As you visualize her, she will come and bring you all you need.

Items needed: 
Three candles, one yellow, one white and one purple or lavender
Myrrh or frankincense stick incense and holder
Small bowl of water

The Altar:
Arrange candles in a semi circle with the open end facing you.

Place the small bowl of water in front of the candles.

Place incense in the holder on the altar.

Timing and Instructions:
The duration of this rite is one night and can be done during any lunar phase

 and may be repeated as desired.

Make sure you have proper ventilation for the incense.

Body of Ritual:
Light the incense and cense the altar.

Then put out the incense for the time being. Return to the altar and say:
"Holy Sophia!
>From the door of your heavenly house,
You let flow your thousand rays illumination,
And even the most stubborn of shadows
Are dispelled with speed.

Above your sacred portal,
Rest the purest of white doves
And the curling leafy vines of the grape,
Heavy with sweet fruit.

Sophia, standing at this gate between the worlds,
You await the call of those who need you.
All-Knowing Mother,
The wisdom of the worlds is thine.
Pearl of the Sacred Marriage between heart and soul,
Between this world and the one beyond,
You await your children's call.
Lady, I who am now in need, call to you.
Come to me!"

Envision Holy Sophia standing below her portal of white doves, then say:
"Blessed One,
The world has torn my heart,
Like a raging tempest that fights itself
Upon a dark sea of tears.
I ask that you return to me my joyful heart.
Make peace for me between the world within,
And the world without.

Wise and compassionate Mother,
Create your miracle
And send your holy doves into my soul.
Let the flutter of their soft white wings
Soothe my sorrowing heart.
Release from me all that is foreign,
And not of my own pure and holy spirit."

Envision a soft breeze made by the flutter of wings.

Feel the edges of dove wings gently touch your body.

See Sophia touch you with purifying water.

Dip your fingers into the water and run them over your face.

Dip the fingers in water again, and run them over your arms, legs, and whole body,

allowing the water to cleanse any negative energies from you. Say:
"Sophia,
Purified, I open to your light.
Breath of light, flutter of wings,
Pure and shining one,
You stand in the doorway of my soul,
The smiling sweet countenance of peace.
Enter here and reign in harmony."

Light the yellow candle and say:
"Your light shines into the deepest recesses of my soul."

Light the white candle and say:
"Your holy doves bring peace into my heart."

Light the purple candle and say:
"Your wisdom calms my soul."

Then say:
"Beloved Mother,
Stay with me, illuminating my life with your powers.
Grant my prayer, that I may remain a soul in peace.
Grant me the wisdom to remain so,
As I honor you, say,
Hail, Sophia!"

Bow your head and let the candles burn down completely
